The time for the first north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal is ready to begin. Tottenham who has one defeat, one draw, and one win will host Arsenal who have two wins and a draw in the first three matches of the new Premier League season.
Tottenham’s start of the season is not that good and they will try today to beat one of the best English teams so they can return to good form and aim for the highest spot they could finish on the table.
Arsenal started the season very well with two wins against Wolves and Aston Villa but they draw 1-1 to Brighton at home. Now the Gunners are ready to go and take advantage of Tottenham’s poor form during the last matches.
Mikel Arteta’s side is expected to have a lot of main players missing because of the injuries. Martin Odegaard will be out of the team after sustaining an ankle injury on international duty with Norway.
The other big player missing will be Declan Rice after he got received a red card in the last PL match against Brighton. The Spanish midfielder that Arsenal brought to the Emirates, Mikel Merino joins his two other midfield teammates in the stands as he got injured during the first training session with Arsenal.
Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu won’t be included on the team as they still are being treated for the injuries they received, and a big question he is going to play with Gabriel Jesus who missed the two last matches due to a groin injury.
It’s still a major doubt if Raheem Sterling will have his first Arsenal debut in the north London derby, but we will have to wait and see the decision of Mikel Arteta on the English winger.
This is how Arsenal could line up for the match against Tottenham: In the goal will be David Raya who will have Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, and Ben White in front of him. In the midfield, we have Thomas Partey who is going to play alongside Jorginho and Kai Havertz. And in the attacking position, Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, and in the left wing, the new signing Raheem Sterling.
This derby won’t disappoint us as we hope to see a lot of offensive play from both teams in the first north London derby of the season. Our score prediction will be 1-3 for the Gunners side.
