Liverpool‘s legendary manager Jurgen Klopp has agreed to start a new job at Red Bull as head of global soccer just five months after he left Liverpool.
The German spent almost eight years at the English side and won eight trophies with the club, becoming one of the greatest coaches ever to manage Liverpool. Leaving the club in the summer, Klopp is ready for his next challenge at Red Bull.
Speaking to the media, Jurgen Klopp said that he is very excited about the project he will get involved in even though he will have a different job than managing. His love for the game is not gone and he will continue to contribute for the game for many years.
He even shared his moments during his career when he was fighting for promotion, relegation, and winning trophies in many different teams, and even though sometimes he failed or achieved success, the German had no time on learning new things due to the busy schedule the clubs have during the season.
Klopp feels that after leaving the manager position, he will have more time to explore what is useful in the developing of football.
His role at Red Bull means that he won’t be involved in the daily operations of the club but he will oversee some clubs which has the kind of intensity that was the calling card when he was a coach. Jurgen Klopp will provide strategic visions that support individual sporting directions for their advance in the Red Bull philosophy.
Jurgen Klopp has also mentioned after quitting football that he won’t be managing any teams for the moment, saying that Liverpool was the only Premier League team that he will ever coach. One of the main reasons is that he has no energy after coaching two big teams like Dortmund and Liverpool.
On the other hand, Liverpool’s newly appointed coach Arne Slot, has already placed his system into the squad and his start at the club is almost perfect with nine wins in his first eight matches.
The Reds are placed at the top of the Premier League table with 18 points as the Dutch manager prepares for the hard fixture that awaits his team after the international break.
