The new deal that Mikel Arteta has just signed for Arsenal to continue his run at the club has got all the attention of other teams’ fans.
Recently, Mikel Arteta has signed another three-year deal with the Gunners, which means he still will have time to show the club that he can get trophies, especially the Premier League trophy.
rsenal’s last league title win was in 2003 when the invincible team did the nearly impossible winning the league with no defeats. The Arsenal fans have all the trust in Arteta and they still hoping to reach that goal before he leaves the club.
The new deal includes that the Spanish manager will earn 10 million pounds a year plus some bonuses that come with his team’s performances.
But this is just the half of it if we compare that to Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola. Pep earns double the wage of Arteta, which means he receives 20 million pounds a year.
In the third list, we have another Spanish boss, Unai Emery who manages Aston Villa. Ever since he arrived at the club, the team’s performance has greatly increased. Last season Aston Villa finished 4th in the league, behind Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool giving them the chance to compete in the highest levels of European competitions, the Uefa Champions League.
Unai Emery’s contract includes 8 million pounds per year which puts him as the third-highest Premier League manager. In the fourth spot is Eric Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United who is having a really tough start to the season with two losses and only one win.
The result of the last match against Liverpool has put the Dutch manager in an unstable position at the club and most of the fans want him out as soon as possible. Eric Ten Hag ears 6.2 million pounds a year at the Red Devils, but he has to fight even harder so he can keep his position longer.
The fifth position is captured by the new Liverpool boss Arne Slot who is replacing Jurgen Klopp in the best possible way, with 3 wins in a row, 7 goals scored and no goals conceded. His last 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford has made every Liverpool fan fall in love with his style of play.
Arne Slot’s new contract at Liverpool includes 6.2 million pounds a year and that puts him in the top 5 managers who earn the most in the league.
Everton’s manager Sean Dyche comes 6th on the list with 5 million pounds per year. He is followed by other managers like Ange Postecoglu, Julen Lopetegui, Enzo Maresca, and Eddie Howe who has nearly the same amount of wage as Everton’s manager.
At the end of the list, we have managers of the other English league teams who receive around 2-3 million pounds a year. This shows even that though the clubs are not performing that well, the payment is still high because they are competing in one of the highest levels of football.
At the end of the list, we have Bournemouth’s manager Andoni Iraola who receives around one million pounds a year even though ever since he signed with the club, their performance has highly increased.
