The future of Mo Salah at Liverpool is not safe as the player has said it by himself that this is the last season at the club after the amazing 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Egyptian King’s contract at Anfield runs in the summer of 2025 and the board should try everything to keep a player who can keep doing magic even at the age 32.
Two more main players are having issues with the contract extensions with the club. Liverpool’s skipper Virgil van Dijk and the second captain Trent Alexander-Arnold are still waiting for that the club gives them better deals so they can continue their legacy with the team.
The three players are set to become free agents by the end of the 24/25 season and this should be a major worry to the club’s board. Some rumors stated that Mohamed Salah is on the eye of most of Saudi Arabian clubs and they are ready to give an outrages deal so they can bring Mo Salah to their squad.
Since the start of the season, the Egyptian has had a wonderful time, being the most important player in the squad with three goals and three assists in the first four Premier League matches. He once again destroyed Manchester United, assisting two goals for Luis Diaz and scoring the third goal with a brilliant finish.
His performances has shown that he still has a lot to prove in the English league. David James, the former goalkeeper of Liverpool and Manchester City, is confident that Mohamed Salah will extend his contract at the club before his contract expires in the summer of 2025.
He said that if Mo Salah would want to leave the club after a lot of clubs are interested on signing him, he wouldn’t be on his best form and the version we are seeing the Egyptian now wouldn’t exist.
David James continues by saying that Mo Salah would get a way better contract out of Liverpool, but for now, his only mission is to achieve the highest success with the team and this shows the love of his for the club.
A good point that he mentions is that Mo Salah is on his way to produce one of his best seasons at the Reds and he won’t slow down for nothing and that’s why David James is confident that the Egyptian King has still a lot more time to show the world why he is one of the greatest Premier League players of all time.
