Huge win in Selhurst Park Stadium for Liverpool against Crystal Palace before the players get back to their countries for international duty. The Reds are still top of the league with 18 points in 7 matches, after receiving three more in today’s match, which keeps Arne Slot’s team at the top of the table.
Liverpool started the first half better than the Eagles, scoring the opener and dominating the whole time in the first half, but things changed quickly after the players got back into the pitch from the 15-minute break.
Oliver Glasner’s boys started to be more dangerous since the first minute of the second half, making eight goal attempts, with four of them going towards the keeper. The Reds’s defense was once again brilliant, keeping the goal clean from the shots of Palace’s players, but later as the match continued, Alisson Becker was left in the ground in pain after he picked up an injury.
The Brazilian goalkeeper left the match in the 79th minute and Vitezslav Jaros came from the bench to replace him, showing a good performance in those last minutes that he had the chance.
After the match, Arne Slot confirmed that Alisson’s injury is serious and his return date is expected to be after the November’s international break.
