Since his arrival in 2017 at Anfield, Mohamed Salah has scored the most goals and has provided the most assists in Liverpool. He has been one of the main players in Jurgen Klopp’s success with the Reds, winning all the trophies in every competition before the German manager decided to take a break from football due to the reason that he is running low on energy.
Klopp’s departure was not an easy one for the Liverpool fans, but the newly appointed manager has not disappointed them yet due to the perfect form his team is having since the start of the season.
Mohamed Salah has once again shown his world-class level under the Dutch manager, scoring and assisting 10 times in all the competitions in his eighth season with the Reds.
The Egyptian King has placed himself second in the Premier League top goal scorer list with eight goals, four less than Manchester City’s striker Erling Haaland who has 12 goals but has not provided any assists compared to Mo Salah who has six already.
It’s being reported that Liverpool’s winger could leave the club in the summer due to his contract with the club which ends in the summer of 2025. The talks between the two sides is already in process but it’s yet to be revealed if he will continue to show his magic in the next years at Anfield.
At the moment, Mo Salah is placed eighth in the Premier League’s all-time highest goalscorer list, but the amazing form he is having under Arne Slot could help him to climb the chart before leaving Liverpool.
Mo Salah has no plans to stop his incredible form even though he will be 33 years old in June. His qualities were usually praised by former Liverpool players, which could make him arguably one of the best Premier League wingers of all time.
Compared to the other legends who have great words about the Egyptian, Graeme Souness has called the winger the ‘most selfish player he has ever seen’. This opinion of Liverpool’s former player who has 359 appearances for the Reds came when Jurgen Klopp decided to sub in Mo Salah with less than ten minutes before the full-time.
Salah and Klopp had a debate conflict before the player entered the pitch, which shocked the football world at the time. Speaking about the Egyptian, Souness said that Mo Salah is the most selfish player he ever witnessed because whenever Klopp decided to take him out, he was never happy about it.
