Liverpool will miss their main player who could be a big factor for the FA Cup Final

    admin-lisiBy admin-lisiMarch 8, 2025

Arne Slot could reach his first final as a Liverpool manager if his team manages to beat Tottenham in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg after losing 1-0 against Spurs in the first leg which was played in London.

Liverpool is having an amazing run in all the competitions, securing the first spot in the Champions League table with 21 points, after seven straight wins out of eight.

In the Premier League, Liverpool sits at the top of the table with 56 points in 23 games, six more points than Mikel Arteta’s side, who are placed second with 50 points with one more game than the Reds.

Liverpool aims for a perfect run in the EFL Cup, which could be the first trophy for the Dutch manager after arriving at Merseyside in the summer of 2024.

Last night, Newcastle recorded a 2-0 win against Arsenal and advanced to the final with an aggregate of 4-0 in both matches. Now they await the winner of the two tough semi-finalists, which makes this stage more exciting.

Before the game, Liverpool fans have received some bad news about their main player who is set to miss tonight’s match.

Trent Alexander-Arnold won’t be available for Arne Slot’s plans due to an injury in the recent 2-0 Premier League win against Bournemouth. The England right-back had to leave the match in pain in the 70th minute, but his return date is expected to be in the next fixtures of February.

Trent’s replacement is expected to be the 21-year-old Irish defender Conor Bradley, who already has won the hearts of the Reds’s fans after performing incredibly in the biggest stages.

It’s worth mentioning his big performance in the 2-0 win against Real Madrid in the Champions League, in which the right-back was holding Kylian Mbappe in almost every attack.

Liverpool will try once again to show why they are one of the best teams at the moment right now, and it will be a very tough match for Ange Postecoglou’s side, which is reported to be a decider of his future at Spurs.

This is how Liverpool’s predicted lineup against Tottenham could look like: Alisson, Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah.
