Liverpool‘s board has started showing huge interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s star Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian is having a perfect start in the new season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in nine games in all competitions for Frankfurt.
The Reds’ last signing was Federico Chiesa, who joined the England side in August of this year and has been featured in only two games under Arne Slot since arriving at the club. The Italian winger’s debut came late in the 3-0 Premier League win against Bournemouth in which he played only 19 minutes.
This signing was not seen enough in the eyes of Liverpool’s fans, who expected a lot more players to arrive at Anfield. Compared to other Premier League teams who made many more signings, Liverpool’s board decided that the signing of Federico Chiesa would be enough, even though a new manager arrived at the club.
Mohamed Salah’s situation at the club has raised Liverpool’s board interest in a replacement that could come close to the Egyptian’s qualities. His contract with the Reds runs out in the summer and it’s already been rumored that the player could leave to Saudi Pro League, receiving a contract bigger than Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
According to the media, the Reds’s board has shown interest in the signing of another Egyptian who has started his Bundesliga season as a top scorer in Bundesliga with eight goals in six games. The 25-year-old arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt in the 23/24 season, scoring 12 goals in 29 matches for the German side.
The club has valued the player at around 33 million pounds and they are hoping that he continues to stay longer, but the interest from European giants will be a hard challenge for Eintracht’s board to make him sign a contract extension.
In the recent 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich, the Egyptian scored two goals and provided one assist to receive a point in Deutsche Bank Park, which placed Eintracht Frankfurt third in the Bundesliga table.
With this performance, the player has been recognized by all the football fans, and it won’t be long until the serious interest to sign him is shown.
In the latest news has been reported that the club has already sent an offer for a contract extension to the Marmoush, but the player is not sure yet after Liverpool’s interest to bring the player in Anfield.
His future is yet to be revealed in the next weeks as Omar Marmoush gets ready for Egypt’s qualification matches for AFCON.
