On the other hand, Liverpool will be without their number one goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who will be on the sideline due to a hamstring injury that he got a bit before the match with AC Milan and his comeback is expected to happen in the next few weeks. His replacement will be the Irish keeper Caoimhin Kelleher who had a great performance in his first start against Bournemouth.
Arne Slot feels that the new Liverpool summer signing Federico Chiesa, is ready to make his first Liverpool start since arriving. Until now, the Italian has played against AC Milan and Bournemouth, both coming on from the bench. The Dutch boss said that the winger was not prepared to play the 90 minutes due to the missing matches during the Juventus pre-season.
Another player who will miss the match is Harvey Elliott who got injured in his last appearance with England’s national team during the international break and his return date will be longer compared to the Brazilian goalkeeper.
