Arne Slot has finally received his first Premier League defeat against Nottingham Forest in Anfield with a result of 1-0. The substitute, Callum Hudson-Odoi who was subbed on in the minute 54th, scored a brilliant goal with a magical finish outside the box after 18 minutes to end Liverpool’s winning streak. Alisson had no chance on saving the unexpected shot from Hudson-Odoi.
It was a really poor performance by the Reds who couldn’t control the game, lost the ball so many times, and couldn’t finish the chances they got in front of the goal. The players performance was completely different from the last 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
This is how we have rated today’s player performance from 1 to 10:
Alisson (7) – Decent performance, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s shot was brilliant and the Brazilian keeper found it nearly impossible to save it.
Andrew Robertson (6) – Not how we are used to seeing Robbo controlling the left-back position, a lot of threats came from his side.
Virgil van Dijk (6) – Decent performance, controlled the defending zone, and didn’t make mistakes but he wasn’t at his best today. Controlled most of the air balls and corners.
Ibrahima Konate (6) – Couldn’t keep up with his player, good in position, made some great tackles. He got subbed in the 75th minute.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (7) – A lot of defending during the first half, gave a brilliant cross to Mac Allister for a header. Not a lot of contribution during the whole match.
Ryan Gravenberch (7) – The best Liverpool player on the pitch today. The reason why the team could keep the level a bit up during the second half.
Alexis Mac Allister (6) – Not his best day. Slow in the midfield, the passes were not how we used to see him. Gave a good ball for Jota to score but missed.
Dominik Szoboszlai (5) – A whole different player compared to the first three Premier League matches the club won. Poor in the pitch today, a lot of wrong decisions.
Mo Salah – Didn’t produce anything in the attacking position. A lot of wrong decisions, definitely not his day.
Diogo Jota (5) – Had one chance, missed. Not any contribution to the attack.
Luis Diaz (5) – Tried to create chances but failed. He had a great chance of hitting the post, aside from that, nothing.
Substitutes: Conor Bradley (4), Cody Gakpo (4), Darwin Nunez (3), Kostas Tsimikas (5), Curtis Jones (4).
